My youngest daughter, Rachel, has names for all three of her older sisters: Taylor is “Tee-tee”, Lauren is “Ya-ya”, and, for whatever reason, Allison is “Bo-bo.”
Not to miss an opportunity of having my girls make Star Wars references, I’ve successfully taught Rachel to now refer to Allison as “Bo-bo Fett.”
My wife, Lydia, does not share my enthusiasm.
This won’t make much sense if you’ve never played an MMO before, or WoW in particular. It’s one of my favorite memes.
I should have posted this yesterday, but I didn’t get a chance to hit up the comic shop. So, here’s my shopping list for today:
Amazing Spider-Man #612, Conan the Cimmerian #16, World of Warcraft #25, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic #47, Invincible #68, Dark Avengers #11, Superman/Batman #66, and Batman: Streets of Gotham #6.
Of them all, I’m really looking forward to Spider-Man #612, because it kicks off The Gauntlet storyline, and Batman: Streets of Gotham, because it’s similar in tone to Ed Brubaker’s Criminal, and the focus on a more human angle makes the comics’ heroes seem larger than life.
The Gauntlet hasn’t officially started yet, but I’ll be damned if this prelude wasn’t awesome. I friggin’ LOVE Deadpool, and he did not disappoint in this issue of Spider-Man.
This is the one, Thunderbolts #138. Jeff Parker coming on board is a good dropping point for me. I’m not overly fond of the characters (except Ant-Man) so this is just a natural jumping off point - I may follow in trades.

I haven’t blogged regularly in what seems like forever. It’s because I’ve gone back to World of Warcraft and it’s been sucking up all of my free time as I make the mad dash to 80 with my death knight, Verminard.
I’ll get back into the swing of things with daily doses of nerdliness this week. Promise.
I’m sticking with the Superman books. The Reactron crossover was, surprisingly, pretty good so I hope that trend continues.
